NEET UG 2026 Documents Checklist: Full List

At a Glance

For NEET UG 2026 counselling, candidates need core documents for both AIQ and state quota: NEET admit card, scorecard/rank letter, Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, a government photo ID, 6–8 passport photos matching the application photo, and the seat allotment letter. State quota additionally requires a domicile/residence certificate, which AIQ does not. Category certificates (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS) must follow the correct central or state format. Always carry originals plus 2–3 self-attested photocopies of each — photocopies alone are not accepted at reporting.

Why It Matters

Seat cancellation at the reporting stage is one of the most common — and most avoidable — reasons students lose an MBBS or BDS seat, usually because of an expired OBC-NCL/EWS certificate, a state-format category certificate submitted for AIQ, or a missing domicile certificate for state quota. Since document verification happens physically at the allotted college and not just online, start collecting certificates now rather than after the result. If your OBC-NCL or EWS certificate isn't from the current financial year, get it renewed immediately — this single issue causes the most rejections. Keep a dedicated folder with originals and 2–3 self-attested copies of every document, sorted by category, ready well before your reporting date.
